Faith builds do not really use damage miracles (there is only one!) in Demons Souls. They are melee builds that trade damage output (compared to str and dex builds), for HP regen, which can be quite high in Demon’s Souls. A properly geared Faith build can have 14 to 18 HP/second regen just walking around. Completing builds at 50-70 is tough.

A Faith build is probably my personal favorite. A lot of great weapons that scale with Faith tend to be lightweight (Moonlight Sword, Istarelle, Blessed Mirdan Hammer or Mace, ect.) giving you extra flexibility with gear, and the health regen makes World 5 considerably easier. It would be really nice if Demon's Souls had the Raw upgrade path and buffs like Sunlight Blade and some of the lightning offensive miracles, but that came in later Souls games. One of the more effective temple knight builds I would recommend being a faith/health regen build. You do faith up to 50, strength, dex and magic just up to minimums, blessed mirdan hammer +5 (it’s a halberd type weapon), adjudicator’s shield +5 and regen ring. Can use whatever miracles you want. Both boost magic damage. Infuse a light weapon like an estoc with magic scaling to use incase you needed to melee. Note the build is weak against anti magic players and faith users (faith increases magic resistance) and certain anti magic tank builds. In pvp your disadvantaged in melee so keep your distance and stay unpredictable while casting.
