The car itself does not contain any driver's area control to pop the trunk, but the Mazda keyfob does - see the picture. You have to press and hold the trunk release button for a couple of seconds and then the trunk pops open by itself. JR. The 4 Door Sedan has a trunk release button that pops open the trunk.
