In a filter side by side the zerno was considerably cleaner, sweeter, and had a brighter acidity compared to the ditting kf804 and Verslab. It makes really nice clean crisp filter. For epsresso I haven’t noticed much difference yet between the Verslab, zerno, and ssp HU 98mm, with that said all three are tasting very good for espresso. Can’t believe I’m dropping this kind of cash on a grinder but I really want something totally different than the Sette 270 that I’ve been using. I’ll be keeping my 1Zpresso K-Ultra for more traditional espresso and decaf, and using the Z1 for more modern, lighter roasts. I'm betting the next batch of Zerno Z1's will have an updated chute without needing a 3d Print add-on though. The good thing is, it's a very modular grinder, so if you need to change or update a part, it seems like something that would be easy to do. I'd love an updated chute, rather than messing with 3D printing junk.
