That was my point. New firearms like the Ruger 57, and this CMMG conversion kit, both increase the number of 5.7 firearms available while bringing the cost of ownership down. That means more 5.7 chambered firearms, which means more people to sell 5.7 ammo too, which means prices get driven down.

Judging from online reviews, FN's 5.7×28 guns seem to chamber it fine as well. So the Ruger-5.7 may have a tighter chamber, but this is still clearly an issue with the ammo, not the gun. If it helps anyone with a Ruger 77-50 using #11 caps, I found a 209 conversion kit that works at a site called muzzleloadingbullets. Check for it at the bottom of the page under Ruger 209. There's also a lot of info on improving accuracy. Note: the variflame adapter they sell isn't as hot and doesn't damage the trigger seer.
