I run a 28” light bar and RS chain on mine. Got another with a 20” bar EXL chain and 8 pin rim sprocket.The 592 is lighter and has noticeably more power than the 395 or the 660. It seems to use considerably less fuel than either my 395 or 660. One thing I did like was the power curve is flatter than my 572. That's a fairly old saw, maybe someone has already changed it over.The main differences are the "dished" piston and the much more restricted muffler of the 261. The clutch is also different - weaker on the 261. That saw family consisted of the 154se, 254, 262xp, 254xp, 257 and 261, in order of introduction. On mine I have a slot cut in the steel that will fit just about every saw ever made. Now all you need is a two jaw puller. The point of the puller goes on the crank with the jaws pulling your steel.

The coil has been mentioned, but the tank may not be properly venting, or the fuel filter may be plugged. Easy to check for the tank vent, when the saw dies, open the gas cap and listen for a vacuum hiss as it opens. The standard 362 and 362C ignitions are different as the 362C is the m-tronic saw. The part number you have is the correct one for the carb'd 362. The ignitions are unique to the saw in this case and not interchangeable with anything else I know of.I muffler modded my new CS-4910 before it even saw wood for the first time. Two screws to remove the deflector and spark arrestor screen and pulled the baffle tube out of the muffler. I also removed the stock exhaust deflector and replaced it with the one from a Shindaiwa 400 (Echo/Shindaiwa part # A313001460).
