Level of difficulty: Scenically difficult/Supremely sketchy/Highly memorable. Stray observations from the Kalalau Trail:It will all depend on the weather and recent rain fall and that's hard to predict. A lot of folks go to Kauai during Christmas time and have had wonderful weather. The worse weather I have personally expereinced has been in early December or early February. Save. Bang for you buck, I'd say Honopu Ridge because it's short. Something around 4 mi RT. A couple caveats: The condition of the trail can vary as it is often overgrown.
