My suggestion would be to first change the voltage for lower clock speed and progressively move on to change the voltage for higher clock speeds, first for the small cores then for the big cores. So I got kernel Adiutor, and changed the CPU governor from interactive to ondemand and the max CPU freq to 1500 MHz... but that's about the extent of my knowledge lol.
